Hideyuki Sakoda is a mechanical engineer and received his Ph.D. from the University of Leeds in 2002. From 2002 to 2006, he worked as a researcher at Nakashima Medical Co. Ltd. From 2006 to 2009, he was a researcher at the Division of Medical Devices, National Institute of Health Sciences. Since 2009, he has been a senior researcher at the Division of Medical Devices. His research focuses on regulatory science for medical devices, particularly from a mechanical engineering perspective.
