Dr. Hyungil Jung is the CSO of JUVIC, Inc., which he founded in 2015 with patented technologies for preserving active pharmaceuticals in dissolving microneedles and novel application devices for full insertion to create viable microneedle systems, mainly for vaccination. He is also a Professor in the Department of Biotechnology at Yonsei University, South Korea. Dr. Jung earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Yonsei University and a Ph.D. in Biological and Environmental Engineering from Cornell University. He completed postdoctoral training at Caltech before returning to Yonsei University as a professor.
