Professional Bio
Dr Deborah Pascoe is Senior Vice President Pipeline Development at Vaxxas and is responsible for preclinical to Phase 1 vaccine development programs, in addition to leading the Vaxxas clinical and regulatory teams. Deborah is the lead investigator for the CEPI-funded work on mRNA vaccine thermostability, a program to demonstrate the ability to use Vaxxas’ novel high-density microarray patch (HD-MAP) technology to stabilise mRNA vaccines at elevated temperatures and successfully deliver functional mRNA, and [in order to successfully develop]to develop a Phase 1 vaccine candidate. Before joining Vaxxas, Dr Pascoe worked in leadership roles at US startups focused on high-throughput biology and she has company-founding experience along with earlier work at 23andMe and Genentech. Dr Pascoe has a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Northwestern University and a BE (Chem Hons) from the University of Queensland.
